As we prepare to represent you in the legislature, I think often of President Obama’s words on Election Night in 2008:  “This victory alone is not the change we seek – it is only the chance for us to make that change.”

To put our government back in the hands of the people, the people need to be involved.

We’ve been working to create as many ways for you to have your voice heard as possible.  Here are some things you can do to let us know what’s important to you as we head into the 2013 legislative session:

  • A lot of community discussion will happen on our Facebook page, so to have your voice included, go to our Facebook page and select “Add to Interest Lists.” (NOTE: Just clicking “like” will no longer put our updates in your news feed. You can find “Add to Interest Lists” just under the profile photo under the little wheel icon with the blue down arrow).

  • Participate in one of our Citizens Advisory Groups.  If you’re passionate about a particular issue, these groups are a great way for you to have  input into what you care most about.  To get more info, visit the website or email us and we’ll fill you in!

  • If you know a young person (or a young-at-heart person) who would like to be part of our intern/mentorship program, get more info on how to apply by emailing or visiting the website.

  • Have another idea for how we can make sure your voice is heard? Let us know!
